  I moved to the Cleburne area a few months ago, in the process of looking to rent or buy a home I was introduced to KD's Land company. My husband and I called the company found the website and the house we wanted. After speaking with the office, they informed us we could not see the home until, we put in an application and the fee, I guess its their way of making a profit. In my head I'm thinking why would I put in an application before I see the house, and what is wrong with the house, not even knowing if I like the house for sure....just from pictures. We went for it anyways, eyes wide open knowing we are young neither of us have much credit, we offered them a deposit of 1300 dollars and 6 months rent up front. The house we wanted they rented from under us, after calling them a couple days later about another house we were interested in, they informed us, that they could no longer take our offer, that we would have to put down the deposit and 12 months rent. Deposit 1300 Rent 650x12 months that is a grand total of 9100 dollars. Please tell me who they think, at 23 years old actually has that kind of money saved. My husband works a 75 hr week bringing home about 750 dollars a week. We bring home more than enough money to actually pay month to month, but this company is simply money hungry. I would not recommend this company to anyone who moves to the area. They are not here to help provide homes to people they are here to make a profit. You can find better, cheaper homes in the area, and if I was you I would do so.
